Julie Kelly - Event Planner & Owner of White Rose Weddings, Celebrations & Events
I guess you could say that I was always the person that was asked to organise things, whether it be a party, barn dance, wedding or trips away for my friends. Whilst my children were at school I became cheif organiser for fundraisers, school outings, parent and staff social events.
I have always had a flair for organisation and love the excitment and passion of bringing an idea and turning it into reality. Creating a vision.
In 2010 White Rose Weddings Celebrations and Events was born.
Turning proffessional was an obvious choice and a great way to maximise my skills and fulfill a passion.
In 2011 I obtained my qualification as International Wedding Planning Professional through QC Wedding & Event Planning.
I really felt it was important to back up my skills.
Over the past few years I have had the pleasure to be involved in a large number of weddings, functions, tribute nights, shows and functions all over the UK. I have even met some celebrities along the way!
To run alongside my business, I am lucky enough to work as a functions co-ordinator at two local community venues where I am always on hand with advice and practical help. I specialise in working with those on tight budgets to provide the best service and save money for my clients where possible.
I am regularly involved in assisting with local Charity fundraisers.
One thing that I pride myself with is making sure I work alongside other businesses who are trusted and reliable and local where at all possible. To me it is very important to provide a good service so will only work with people whom I have taken the opportunity to meet in person. Businesses that I work alongside always go that extra mile for their clients.

Julie was the most attentive, dedicated, passionate and supportive wedding organiser, and with the generosity of their presents and the beautiful pins they had made for us it ...was above and beyond what we paid for or what we could expect. Worth four times what we paid, and the staff were amazing too. Most fantastic wedding service a prospective bride and groom could ever dream of- their attention to detail is incredible. Bethany and Guy's wedding reception so fabulous . I do not know how we would have managed with...out her, I really don't .
She had the overview , and her grasp of what was going on ( and boy were there a lot of different aspects to this wedding ) was extraordinary.
Bethany and Guy were in Newcastle, the wedding was in Ampleforth , the reception in Northallerton , the bride's parents were hundreds of miles away in North Devon and Julie , dear Julie held it all in her capable hands .
Whatever we suggested ..... " now Julie, we would like opened umbrellas suspended upside down from the ceiling and the bride's father wants to do the famous singing in the rain dance, and can you arrange for the rain" ........she never batted an eyelid but just smiled and said "what a lovely idea " and then she helped us achieve whatever it was we wanted.
She never got rattled, and she smiled broadly whenever we saw us. Whatever the chaos we created , however many times we changed our minds or whatever we forgot to arrange , she sailed serenely on like a swan sorting it out for us , If her feet were paddling madly away under the water we never saw them.
What more could you want from a wedding planner ?

Dear Julie, Thank you so much for all your amazing help as the wedding planner. You were totally brilliant from beginning to end. When there were too many lines of communication flowing from one family to another you came in and un-tangled it all. When I felt daunted you supported me, helpe...d me and kept me on track. In the beginning I just didn't know where to start and at the end I wandered how I'd get through my list but you were there to guide me, prompt me and greatly lighten my load. The words "Don't worry about that, it's been sorted" have never meant so much. With your help I was able to relax and totally enjoy my wedding day because I knew you were there to help things run smoothly. It truly was the best day ever; I drank, laughed and danced and most importantly, I was able to focus on my marriage and not logistics !
